WOW! Song of Solomon... Toni Morrison is something else. And I mean that. She's a woman from another place, planet, universe and on and on. Well I can't help but to sit here and list the several reasons why I love her work, firstly because most of her books are based in the midwest, (Song of Solomon-Michigan) secondly, she always makes me feel like I'm sitting in my granny's lap listening to a tall tale from back in the day and most of all her novels are not only vivid and descriptive their poetic.

Well here's a topic of discussion, what do you think about this Milkman character? They're several key places in the novel where he talks about what he deserved and what he didn't deserve. At some points you're compelled to feel empathy for him and some others you feel like he's just very selfish. I don't know, atleast that's what I got from it. I'd love to hear what you all think. Again you do not have to be a member to comment, just click on the comment box underneath this post then click on the option that says either anonymous or other.

P.S. The book club will be taking a break until further notice. So this gives all you slackers time to catch up. I'll still be putting up posts on this site so please visit often. Love Y'all
